General Administration
General Administration, which includes the office of the general secretary, is responsible for the oversight of the entire General Board of Global Ministries. This oversight includes
- corporate, legal, and financial matters;
- relations with the board of directors and other governance entities;
- relations among the several program areas of the agency;
- contacts with other United Methodist general agencies and the Council of Bishops;
- preparation of reports to the General Conference; human resources; and public relations.
- mission support functions such as public relations and communications.
Financial Development
Financial Development works in concert with each mission channel. Its focus is directed around three components: mission advocacy, church partnerships and donor cultivation.
