for Older Adults |
In a gorgeous French setting, participants will learn and experience French culture and cuisine, study with experienced lecturers the life of the Huguenots and the religious war in the southern regions of France, Methodism in France, and the state of the church today. Participants will spend time visiting important sites where the Huguenots would hide in caves and places where they would hide to have church services. They will have the opportunity to experience the "Road of Wine" with a tasting of different types of Cote De Rhone wine, museums and have a guided tour of the old roman theaters dating from BC. Other visits may include the Vercour mountain range as well as historical cities such as Avignon, Orange, Nimes, and the Rhone river. This promises to be a wonderful event in a breath-taking setting.
