Primetimers: An Educational and Mission Service Experience for Older Adults
A Program of the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church

Come learn about the rich religious history of "Lincoln Country" at this exciting event in Chatham, Illinois. Learn about the early Methodist movement and how it shaped the region and its inhabitants. Primetimers will have an opportunity to explore the historic role of Methodism and the Native American population in Illinois. You will visit New Salem, the home community of Abraham Lincoln, explore his history in the new Presidential Library or Museum in Springfield (one is to open in April, 2004), attend the Tuesday evening ceremony at Lincoln’s tomb and see the Lincoln family pew in the Presbyterian Church.

Mary Todd Lincoln (portrayed by a local professor) will join your group for a wonderful evening of historical entertainment and give you insight into Lincoln, the family man and his spirituality.
