The following is a text only presentation of the
Liberian UMVIM Dreams Segment
Rev. Robert N. Sieh, Sr.:
You know, during the war, a lot of churches were damaged and so through the
efforts of this organization (LUMVIM), my dream is for all the churches in the conference
to be developed for us to rebuild all of them.
Rev. James Labala:
...and that even led us to the formation of the first team which is presently
working which you can see. Our dream is that the same spirit that has been fostered here
will flow throughout the conference. That is to say the spirit of volunteerism will be
fostered among the membership that well to the point to share our different gifts
and talents through the growth and development of our church, concretizing our Christian
love and letting the community around us to know that indeed we are Gods people and
we have the love of God in our hearts that we will allow ourselves to be channels of
Gods love flowing out.
Rev. William Wleh, Sinoe District
I will say that this whole process of volunteering be a part of the whole church,
the entire church, that everyone be a part of it, because it brings us together and by
this, well be a greater church in serving mankind. Well be able to show the
demonstration of love from God to our fellow man. And so, my dream is that the whole idea
will bring us closer and closer together and help us in evangelism because it will bring
the children of God together, where do we see Christo... in every aspect of our lives,
this will be my dream.
Anna G. Kaydor, Monrovia
Well, for me, I see that first that through God will bring forth unity within the
church it will make people to love being part of the church because we are showing here
with one another, by volunteering, our services. It also helps to make us be
self-supported and then others (outsiders) will see us and as we work, be impressed to
even help us in supporting us.
Rev. Stephen E. Snorton, Liberia Annual Conference Committee
My dream is to see that all of us will get involved with the process in the
Liberia Annual Conference, get involved in the idea of volunteering, which is a new word
for some of us, and all of us will get involved not only with the physical building, but
put our love into action. Having gone through what weve gone through (the war) my
dream is that we will all put our love into action to get things done which should be done
for God and for others so that all of us in the Liberia Annual Conference and all of
Liberia will benefit.
