Cuban Methodists Celebrate Dedication
of the Temple at Camp Canaan, May 24, 2002Amid arrangements of red and white flowers, liturgical dance, dramatization, and the release of a white dove, 3,394 Methodists celebrated the dedication of Templo del Campamento Canaan, on May 24, 2002. Ninety-four of those in attendance were UMVIM'ers from the United States who have worked along side their Cuban friends the past 7 years. Together, they built the sprawling camp located on beautiful rolling hills, highlighted with stately royal palm trees. The dedication was led by Obispo Ricardo Pereira Diaz and his cabinet.
