United Methodist Women are known for the diversity of mission programs and projects that we support through our own work and through partnerships with others. The difficulty with this is that it can be hard to comprehend the amount of work we do locally and around the world. Now members and others can get a better grasp of the mission of United Methodist Women and where the money goes. Check the web site on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Besides the regularly updated news stories, http://gbgm-umc.org/umw/ will feature stories about mission with women, children and youth on these days. So, bookmark the page and check us regularly!
This summer, look for stories on:
- The international deaconess event and the history of United Methodist Women supporting this movement
- Ordinary United Methodist Women doing extraordinary things
- Teen and college/university women setting directions for United Methodist Women
- The Public Education summit, ideas for the direction of our organization, and how our members are affecting the institution responsible for our children’s learning.
- Hispanic members and their mission with women, children and youth
- News and reflections from Conference Green Teams
- Where your money goes
- Public conversation with the Renew organization
