As part of the Women's Division's ongoing Campaign for Children, Phase III, a Public Education Summit will be held July 29 -31, 2005 at Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The focus will be advocacy in Public School Education.
The Women's Division will select representative members of United Methodist Women who are actively involved in Public Education on all levels to share concerns and best practices, strategize advocacy for working on this issue and explore the possible contributions that can be made by the organization. This diverse group of women from across the country will be representative of urban, suburban and rural schools.
If you are a United Methodist Woman who is or has been involved in Public Education (students are welcome!) and have participated in or will participate in the Mission Study on Public Education through a School of Christian Mission, Mission Education Event or local church study, you are encouraged to apply for this Public Education Summit.
