United Methodist Women and Scarritt-Bennett Center

Scarritt-Bennett Center is a conference, education and retreat center owned by the Women's Division of the United Methodist Church. Located in Nashville, Tenn., it's a place of mission, spiritual growth, and renewal for United Methodist Women, others in the denomination, and the community as a whole.

Through their pledge to mission and other undesignated giving, United Methodist Women provide spiritual formation and leadership opportunities to women around the world. Scarritt-Bennett Center is one of the special places where this happens.

The mission of Scarritt-Bennett Center

The Scarritt-Bennett Center shall be a place of education for Christian ministries of justice and equality, reconciliation and renewal, cooperation and interaction within the ecumenical an global context. Rooted in mission, the Center shall have a strong commitment to the eradication of racism, the empowerment of women, the education of the laity and spiritual formation.
