YOUTH SPEAK:
TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH SONG
Songs inspire, provoke, educate, and entertain. They require no resources or materials other than utilizing one of God’s great natural gifts to us, vocal chords. Youth and adults share this unique gift, with its power to reach people in a deep and sometimes divine way.
Technological advances and globalization have opened the door to a wider sharing of music than ever before. A church concert or the newest pop song can be downloaded and sent over the Internet to millions across the world within minutes. The growth and popularity of music and video-sharing websites that allow users to post material online that can be viewed by anyone with access to a computer is a new and effective tool to reach youth creatively. The increase in portable music devices, as well the growing trend to include music access in mobile phones, means that music is instantly accessible in a variety of locations.
