Year-End Giving Chases Clouds Away
Does your United Methodist Women local unit empty its treasury at year’s end? The money, which was given for mission, should not be saved for a rainy day because today is a rainy day for thousands of women, children and youth for whom your mission money offers hope.
If your unit might discover has more money than it needs to carry it into 2002, consider:
Sending the money to your district United Methodist Women treasurer as additional undesignated funds toward your Pledge to Mission.
Presenting one or more Special Mission Recognitions or Gifts to Mission to members of your unit who have made outstanding contributions.
Making a Supplementary Gift to "A Brighter Future for Children and Youth" or "Faith Meets Life: Lay Education at Scarritt-Bennett Center," the special emphases for 2001-2004.
Contributing materials to a project from the Material Resources for Mission Catalog. Order the catalog -- #2579/$4.50 from the Service Center, 1-800-305-9857.
