Who Is Courageous?
- Jesus was courageous because he talked to, taught, and healed women and girls. He even used them as examples and models in his teaching stories. In his day, all of this would have been viewed as suspicious behavior. It discredited Jesus to some people. They thought he was dangerous.
- The women were courageous, too, because they went against the social expectations when they became followers of Jesus.
- You are courageous because you are willing to enter into a dialogue about the actions of Jesus and these women. But you are not alone! Jesus promised to stay with us as we journey through life and we have the company of each other and some imaginary characters in this book. Now let's meet the young people!
