  • Responsively Yours: Happy 300th Birthday John Wesley

    May Response Magazine
This year is the 300th anniversary of John Wesley=s birth. Born June 28, 1703, Mr. Wesley was one of 19 children B- 10 survived into adulthood -- of Susanna and Samuel Wesley. Samuel Wesley, a parish priest of the Church of England, was a strict man. He had little material wealth so his family lived in poverty most of the time. Susanna Wesley, the daughter of a priest, had received a sound education, which was unusual for a girl at that time. She was well read and supervised the education of her children.
