The modern world is very different from that
of Biblical times. Just as the worldviews of people of Old and
New Testament times affected their understanding of God and the
Bible, so does ours.
Discoveries
of galaxies, solar systems, atomic theory, medicines,
causes of mental disorders, etc., influence our
worldview.
Humans have
Reading verses in the Bible with today's worldview elicits different understandings of tempests, earthquakes, demons, and much more.
As we understand the importance of scripture to others, we can start to look at the importance of scripture to ourselves. However, we all bring a different worldview to the scriptures.
