Isaiah 50:6 says, "I gave my back to those who struck me, and my cheeks to those who pulled out the beard; I did not hide my face from insult and spitting." This verse is part of the "third Servant Song." In the New Testament, Jesus is associated with this Servant from Isaiah.

39 But I say to you, Do not resist an evildoer. But if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also;
67 Then they spat in his face and struck him; and some slapped him, 68 saying, "Prophesy to us, you Messiah! Who is it that struck you?"
