Bahrudin
Nurkanovic is a Bosniak returnee to Orasje in Doboj
Municipality. He and his family returned in December 2000.
He lives in father's house with his wife and 7 year old
daughter. The whole family depended on a monthly income of
50 KM from a disability pension.
Mr Nurkanovic received a grant of 1000 KM from UMCOR which
enabled him to buy 4 goats. He repaid the grant with an
in-kind community contribution; in other words, he gave
neighbor, Nihad Bradaric, 4 goat kids to enable him to
breed his own animals. Both the Nurkanovic family and Mr
Bradaric and his family have regular incomes and are
gradually building up their livestock and looking to the
future.
