Children in Afghanistan have been especially hard hit by conflict and political unrest in their country that lasted over two decades. During these troubling times, many educators left Afghanistan, schools were destroyed, and the children's education system suffered. With your help, UMCOR will:

On average, between $15,000 to $38,000 is needed to rebuild each school, depending on its size and location.

Please write checks to UMCOR with "UMCOR Advance #602225, Afghanistan Emergency" written on the memo line. Be sure to designate "Schools for Afghan Children." Give through your local United Methodist church or mail contributions to: UMCOR, 475 Riverside Dr., Room 330, New York, NY 10115. Call 1-800-554-8583 to make a credit card donation. In terms of material contributions, Health Kits and School Kits are needed.
