The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) announces that Gwen E. Redding has been hired as the Director of UMCOR Sager-Brown in Baldwin, Louisiana. She will start in her new position on January 20, 2003.

Gwen E. Redding currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is a member of the Peachtree United Methodist Church. Gwen has more than twenty-five years of experience in positions of administrative leadership. She has most recently served as director of operations and corporate secretary for ZCI Integrated Solutions, Corp., a managed care organization providing quality, cost-effective management of workers' compensation costs for employers and other customers. Gwen was also employed at Louisiana State University (LSU) for eleven years. While with LSU, she served in several different administrative positions, notably as director of equal opportunity programs. Gwen also held appointed positions with the Louisiana state government, first as director of the Louisiana Bureau of Women for the State of Louisiana and later as deputy director of human services.

We are pleased to welcome Gwen to UMCOR Sager-Brown. Her significant administrative skills and commitment to The United Methodist Church will enhance the valuable ministry already underway at the mission facility.

UMCOR Sager-Brown is a General Board of Global Ministries facility that serves the church by shipping material resources throughout the world, offering a low-cost meeting place, and providing many volunteer opportunities.
