UMCOR continues to support the recovery efforts from last year's floods and tornadoes. Grants totaling $450,000 have been sent to the North Carolina and Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conferences for rebuilding work.    The North Carolina Annual Conference and UMCOR have produced a video on the flood recovery work. This excellent, moving video is a good mission interpretation resource depicting the important role that United Methodists play in disaster response. Copies are available from UMCOR for $8.00.    A high percentage of vulnerable children in Armenia have problems with their vision. UMCOR's Armenia staff are working to provide vision screening for 4,000 children and eyeglasses for those who need them. They estimate that 1000 of the children will need glasses. Prescription glasses in Armenia cost $6.00 per pair. This would be a good project for vacation church school or a youth group. Gifts for this and other ministries in Armenia may be given to UMCOR Advance #250225-8. Designate "Armenia". Please note that we are collecting financial gifts and cannot accept used eyeglasses.

   United Methodists have raised more than $1,000,000 for flood recovery in Mozambique. Your generous gifts allow UMCOR to help provide food, building materials and other essential items, and support rebuilding projects. Recovery work will continue for at least three years.
