UMCOR continues to support earthquake recovery efforts in El Salvador and India. The Methodist Church in El Salvador has sent UMCOR a request for $1 million to build 500 houses for low-income earthquake survivors. The church is coordinating their work with ACT (Action by Churches Together) which has provided the plans for the homes and other technical support. Please give to Advance #511447 "El Salvador Emergency." In India, UMCOR's partner CASA (Church's Auxiliary for Social Action) will be rebuilding 1,249 homes for vulnerable people in seven villages. CASA will also help to revitalize the infrastructure by building a school and a local government office building in each of the seven villages. UMCOR is sending $275,000 to CASA for the rebuilding work, and will send more when it is available. Please join in this response by giving to Advance #274305-5 "India Earthquake."
