Rev. McKellar has served as Senior Pastor of White Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas, since June, 1992. During that time the church has grown
from 492 members to over 2,050; average weekly attendance has grown from 120 to over 1,200; and the church budget has grown from $120,000 to |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
over $1,500,000. During this time, John has led the church through 2 major building programs, which include the addition of a Family Life Center, increased
Sanctuary capacity from 300 to 850, an office wing, an education wing and 11 acres of new land.
In 1997, John was awarded the Morris Walker Award for the Central Texas Conference Clergy Person of the year. At the Conference level he has served on
the Board of Ordained Ministry for the Annual Conference, as a board member of the Central Texas Conference Foundation, and as a board member of the Retired Minister’s Homes.
John graduated from Perkins School of Theology with a Master’s of
Divinity degree in May, 1990. He has been married for 20 years to Debbie and has two children, Jay and Chandler Elizabeth.
