Photo Dr. Finees Flores Reverend Finees Flores is currently the Minister-in-Charge of the Monte Sinai United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas. He also works at networking parishes to create a Hispanic religious Partnership for Community Health, which
works to create a health ministry program among 12
parishes in the San Antonio area. Finees is married to Elda Trejo Flores and has two children, Steven and
Deborah Ann. Dr. Flores received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Philosophy from Northern Baptist College, Chicago, Illinois. He received his Master’s of Divinity from Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He received his Doctor of Ministry form McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He has completed numerous other continuing education classes, has extensive CPE training and is currently an active Chaplain at Southwest Methodist Hospital in San Antonio Texas. Dr. Flores is an Elder in the Northern Illinois Conference and is currently appointed to serve in the Rio Grande Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Dr. Flores has served pastoral appointments in both the Northern Illinois Conference’s Chicago area and in the Rio Grande Conference. He has also served the church in such areas as the Editor of El Interprete through the United Methodist Communications of Evanston Illinois. He has served the church on many conference, jurisdictional and general church related levels. He was a General Conference delegate in 1976, 1984 & 1988 and also served on the General Council of Finance and Administration from 1988 to 1992. He has also traveled to several countries on behalf of the commission on United Methodist Communications on church related issues.

Dr. Flores has also taught at several United Methodist-related schools of Theology and specializes in the area of Urban Ministries. His work includes providing leadership for cooperative parish ministries to do the following: seek common issues of urban ministries, developing through church leadership new methods of outreach into communities, doing demographic studies to determine the future of existing communities, and creating ecumenical programs for cross denominational community efforts.
