Holder-Cummings Email Photo Rev. Dixie Holder-Cummings Dixie is a native of Waynesboro, Mississippi.
She is married to Rev. Hugh Holder-Cummings, and they have two sons, Frank and Drew, and one daughter, Beth. Dixie is currently pastor in the Houston Cooperative Parish, North Houston Charge of the Mississippi Conference with primary
responsibility for five churches.

Rev. Holder-Cummings received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Master’s of Science in English and Education. She did her post graduate work at Midwestern University, Wichita Falls, Texas and North Texas State University, Denton, Texas. She received her Master’s of Divinity Degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. While at Candler, Dixie received recognition as a Sherman Scholar, a Georgia Harkness Scholar and a Rollins Scholar.

Her career has included work as a High School English Teacher in Del Rio, Texas, Telephone Company Manager in Kingstree, South Caroline, at-home mom, serving churches in the North Georgia Conference and the Mississippi Conference. She has also served as Conference Deployed Staff of the Mississippi Conference.
