The 2 Page Church and Community Summary is a snapshot
of your church and your community. It includes membership, church
school and expense trends for the past 10 years. It also includes
population, income, length of residence and lifestyle trends for
your ZIP Code.
The 9 Page Church and Community Profile is a more detailed analysis
of your church and community. It includes the 2 Page report, plus
detailed racial / ethnic data, marital status, and information about
religious / denominational preferences in your county. It also contains
lifestyle profiles and program suggestions for reaching the dominant
groups in your ZIP Code. This report can only be obtained at this time by
contacting the Research Office.
Users can receive 2 free 2 Page
Profiles. Additional reports will be available for $5.00 per 2 Page
summary and $25.00 per 9 Page profile.
What are the profiles?
The 2 Page Profile consists of one page of Local Church information
and a second page of Community information. These are made available
in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF File). A sample report is shown below.

Local Church Profile
The Local Church Profile shows the last 10 years of membership,
worship and Church School trends for your local church. It also
shows giving to benevolences in the aggregate and separated into
World Service, Advance Specials, directly given, and other benevolences.
Community Profile
The Community Profile shows growth or decline in population and
households from 1980 through this year, and projected over the next
5 years. It also shows the growth in median household income for
the same period, along with the length of residence for this year.
Prizm Lifestyles is a way to group people together according to
age, geography, education, income and family size. The Community
Profile shows the 5 largest clusters in this Zip Code region.
Who can get the profiles?
The Profiles are a service of the Office of Research of the General
Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. The service
is offered to United Methodist workers -- both clergy and laity.
The Office of Research is implementing a subscription service for
these reports, as well as our larger collection of maps, profiles,
and planning materials. These are free of charge to those who register.
How do I get the profiles?
Please call or e-mail the Research Office to have a 2 page profile e-mailed to you or a 9 page mailed. Please give Conference, District, Church and preferred Zip Code.

How much does it cost?
The print version of the 2 Page Summary normally costs $20. New
members are entitled to request 2 reports at no charge. Additional
reports are available at a cost of $5.00 per report. The 9 Page
Profile is available at a cost of $25.00. 9 Page Profiles and additional
2 Page Profiles can be obtained by contacting the Research Office
to arrange billing. There is no method for arranging billing on
this web site.
