Congratulations to Pacific Northwest, the Southern New Jersey, and the Yellowstone Conferencesfor being recommended for a mission initiative grant of the National Plan. The Executive Committee of the Committee on Hispanic Ministries met in late February and approved a total of $116,700 for these three conferences, subject to the action of the directors of the General Board of Global Ministries.

Congratulations to five new Hispanic district superintendents that will begin serving this coming conference year in their respective conferences: Aida I. Fernández in the Boston area in the New England Conference, Edgar Avitia in the Southern District, Michael Albert in the Western District, Frank Estrada in the Central District, and Eutimio González Jr. in the Northern District, all four in the Rio Grande Conference.
