Lucknow, India region: A member of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph holds a child . She works at Lisieux Shanti Niketan, a Roman Catholic hospice for people with HIV/AIDS run by her order. In India, women who have been infected with HIV are often abandoned by their families, much more so than men.
