Emily Gipe wrote an article for us in the July-August 1995 issue before she and her family were assigned as missionaries to the The English-speaking School of Lubumbashi, Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo). Now that she and her family are back in the United States, Emily updated us on what it was like to live and go to school in Lubumbashi. Douglas
and Elizabeth Gipe, her parents, are Missionaries in Residence at the General Board of
Global Ministries in New York.
