New World Outlook brings its annual contribution to the Geographic Mission Study theme for 1998-99: Indonesia. Throughout the pages of the May-June 1998 issue, the editors, authors, and photographers grapple with the reality of living in Indonesia today, the religious diversity of its people, and the work of the Methodist Church of Indonesia (Gereja Methodist Indonesia).

Authors in this issue include Bishop H. Doloksaribu of Indonesia; Rebecca Asedillo, a missionary appointed to serve on the National Council of Churches' task force on East Timor; Robert Hunt, a missionary who has coordinated interfaith dialogue in Indonesia; and the Rev. R. Randy Day, who looks at what the current economic crisis means for Indonesia.
