Coming in September-October 2002 issue:
Seek Justice, Freedom, and Peace
September-October 2002 will look at ministries that relate to
the fourth goal of the General Board of Global Ministries: Seek
Justice, Freedom, and Peace. We will participate with
people oppressed by unjust economic, political, and social systems
in programs that seek to build just, free, and peaceful societies.
Advocacy work for farmers in Chiapas, stories from the
battle zones of the Middle East, a look at how the Michigan
annual conferences have partnered with the Methodist Church
of Haiti to combat hunger in the poorest populations, and an
update on rebuilding Liberia with the help of UMVIM teams are
topics in the September-October issue.
Celebrate the 10-year anniversaries of two innovative mission
programs: the Shalom Zone Ministries, and the Special Program
on Substance Abuse and Related Violence (SPSARV), also in the
September-October issue.
And Coming in November-December......
A Little Child Shall Lead Them.
New World Outlook opens a discussion with children around the
world on world peace.
