The Rev. German Acevedo-Delgado was declared guilty of illegally entering the limits of Camp Garcia Naval Installation at Vieques, Puerto Rico, as an act of Christian Obedience, and sentenced to one year probation. Rev. Acevedo was accompanying Rev. Lucy I. Rosario Medina, pastor of the Methodist Church of Vieques. Rev. Rosario was sentenced earlier this week. Puerto Rico's Methodist Bishop, Juan Vera Mendez, was given the opportunity to serve as a character witness. More details will follow.
