Bienvenido.  One of the best ways to get to know the people and the culture is to learn the language.  Maybe some day, you will get to visit us in Mexico.  Then, you will be around people who are speaking our language, Spanish, whenever they want to express something.  Then, you will learn the language very quickly!  But until you can come visit us, try to learn some of the language on your own.  Here are some lessons, games, music, and ideas to help you get started!  Buena suerte.

Learn advanced Spanish - Do you want to learn words that you would use during Christmas time?  words for different personality types?  words about the weather?  This web site has lots of different categories.  Choose the category and learn the Spanish words.  Once you get good, you can chat with a Spanish pen pal or participate in a Spanish/English chatroom.  But always make sure you have your parent's permission before doing this!

What's going on in the World?  Read the news in Spanish?  You can choose Spanish newspapers from Mexico or other parts of the world.

Read Time Magazine for Kids in Spanish.  What are the top stories of the week and how do those stories relate to mission?  You must know your issues to be in mission!
