Reed Brock

The Rev. Reed Brock is an Associate in Mission Service (AIMS) serving in the Red Bird Missionary Conference through the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. He is assigned as pastor of the Middle Fork/Stoney Fork United Methodist charge in Helton, KY.

Reed says his responsibilities are to “preach and teach God's word, to be there for everyone when needed and to share God's love to anyone I meet...When a sick person is saved and sprinkled [baptized] at home, then that person witnesses their faith to all they see,” Reed says, reflecting on God’s movement through his ministry.

A native of Beverly, KY, Reed graduated from Leslie County High School in Hyden, KY. Prior to becoming a pastor and missionary, he own and operated a grocery store along with his wife Barbara, who is also an AIMS missionary serving the Red Bird Missionary Conference. Before his commissioning Reed served as section foreman in the coal mines for 11 years.

The Brocks have two sons, Johnathan and Jeremy. Reed’s parents are A.M. and Catherine Brock of Dry Fork, KY, where they are members of the Pentecostal Church.
