Brief Description of Ministry:
Kairos is supposed to be officially supported by UMC. Kairos closely follows the model of Cursillo or Emmaus. All Kairos team members must have experienced a weekend such as Emmaus. Kairos team members covenant to return to the prison for a reunion, prayer and sharing for one year beyond the weekend. Kairos has a contract with each prison to conduct the weekend every six months, with mini-retreats at the halfway mark between weekends. God uses the weekends in astounding ways.
