Brief Description of Ministry:
Our mission is to make Disciples for Jesus Christ through a Prison Outreach Ministry based on a two hours' interactive weekly Bible study class. We provide a foundation for growth in Christ and transformation through God’s Word, first to the inmates housed in Western PA, and then beyond to other prisons in our state. Our Director is a 10-10-10 Missionary (Rev. Stan Nixon)who takes our message to the churches in the Conference for both financial and prayer support. He recruits volunteers and works with the Prison chaplains to get our ministry into the prisons for youth, women, and ethnic minority men. We currently are running three Disciple classes in Spanish at three facilities, three youth programs, and one class for women, and four Disciple classes for men in four facilities.
