Brief Description of Ministry:
Weekly worship service at Blackburn Prison, a minimum-security prison outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Led by members, friends, & co-pastor (Tapiwa Mucherera also teaches Pastoral Care at Asbury Theological.) of Mt. Zion (Mercer County, Kentucky). Periodic Eucharist. Currently planning two week-long evening “training events” for prisoners, with presenters drawn from Asbury Theological School faculty. Classes will run for four sessions. One will be on Basic Christian History, and seond one on Reformation and the various denomination in the U.S. Tentatively scheduled for March & May 2003.
