[During June and July, 1998, the General Board of Global Ministries led a group of 21 students from United Methodist-related colleges and universities in singing global choral music in the Baltic States and Russia. The participants wrote statements commenting on their experiences. Following is one such statement.]
Janice R. Pennington None of us spoke Estonian, but the Holy spirit moved nearly every person to tears at a concert in Haapsalu. We did not need to know any more words than those meaning "Thank you" and "Alleluia" to understand one another. . . . This may have been my first taste of mission work, but it most certainly will not be my last! |
