On Feb 12, abobut 75 Methodist Women from throughout Puerto Rico came to the island of Vieques to learn about the effects of six decades of US Navy bombing on the island. The women met with island women, then traveled to the entrance to Camp Garcia, part of the Navy facilities on the island, where they prayed for peace and fastened white ribbons, a sign of peace, to the camp's main gate.
