Ecumenical resistance: Enrique Mercado, a pastor of the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico, holds the rope tight for Ricardo Colon, a Capuchin priest. The two are working together to tie down a tent at a Catholic Church-sponsored resistance camp in the Navy-controlled area of Vieques, a Puerto Rican island where the US military has bombed for 60 years. There are currently 14 different camps, two of them church-sponsored, on the bombing range.
