Youth and Young Adults are not just the hope of the church for tomorrow; they are the leadership of the church today. Assist with the selection, training and deployment of Young Adults for mission service and promote the Global Justice Volunteers Program. Located at our headquarter office, the Program Coordinator is responsible for 1)Providing support to the Manager for Youth and Young Adult Programs coordinating the efforts of mission work while partnering with other program offices within the Mission and Evangelism Department; 2)Working within established programmatic budgets; and 3)Leading workshops and training events to recruit, prepare and develop youth and young adults to serve in mission. Some travel required.
The ideal candidate possess computer proficiency in Windows environment appropriate to position; excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills; ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work; mature, professional attitude and appearance; openness to continuing learning and upgrading of skills; ability to think things through and see the bigger picture.

One(1) to Two(2) years work in cross-cultural environments and/or work with volunteer programs. Experience with young adults and personnel management desirable. Membership in the United Methodist Church is preferred
