Improve the lives of people around the world by developing, fostering, and promoting mission relationships for Mission and Evangelism, a unit of The General Board of Global Ministries. Global Ministries is the mission agency of The United Methodist Church. Its offices are housed at The Interchurch Center, at 475 Riverside Drive in New York City.
The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned global, intercultural and interfaith worker; having experience working with various church structures and diverse constituents. This person would be primarily responsible for supporting the work of missionaries, fostering relationships with partner churches and ecumenical organizations, and assist indigenous people in the development and implementation of ministries identified by their community. Essential job functions would include, but are not limited to, providing supervision; budget coordination; developing resources and identifying and evaluating missional opportunities. In this role major accountability would be held in articulating and implementing the goals and strategies of the General Board of Global Ministries and Mission and Evangelism/Mission Relationship within the scope of the Four Areas of Focus of The United Methodist Church. Travel required.

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required, with three (3) to five (5) years in outreach and community ministries; including, development, community organizing and implementation of projects/programs and managing persons.
