Description
Improve lives around the world by managing domestic properties for The Women’s Division of The General Board of Global Ministries. Global Ministries is the mission agency of The United Methodist Church. Its offices are housed at The Interchurch Center, at 475 Riverside Drive in New York City. The ideal candidate would be a seasoned professional with a minimum of three (3) years experience working in property management. This person would be primarily responsible for overseeing maintenance and improvements of domestic properties of the Women’s Division. This would require contact on a regular basis with individuals and groups which are not a part of the church’s official structure. High levels of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and respect would need to be demonstrated through the duties of this work. This person would be accountable for ensuring the contractual property management obligations are meet and/or exceeded; Bid work for improvements; keep track and accurate record of facilities space and condition, such as HVAC and roofing. Direct the day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and any other property management operations. Manage and process monthly financial statements; engage, contract, supervise, and approve invoices for all goods/services required to maintain the properties in compliance with Women’s Division standards. Extensive travel required (30%), flexibility to work long hours and weekends.
Requisites
A Bachelor’s Degree or specialized vocational/technical training or comparable education. Course work in real estate is preferred; experience as a paralegal considered; CPM or RPA designation preferred; Strong client relations skills a must. Applicant must keep abreast of new technologies, systems and procedures related to property management, including bid management, engineering life safety and loss control.
