Connecting people around the world by delivering multifaceted web content, the Mission Communications department of Global Ministries is now seeking a Web Content Coordinator that will work within a team environment to ensure the web, photo gallery, and social media pages all reflect the mission and ministry of Global Ministries.
The Ideal candidate would be able to research, write, edit, and update copies for Global Ministries’ static web pages and social media pages to support the ministry and vision of Global Ministries. Work within a team environment to upload photos, short stories, videos, and other files to Celum Imagine using approved keyword tree so that the organization and location of assets are appropriate and their information is accurate. This person would have to be informed on industry best practices for the web, including writing for the web, information architecture, usability, and copyright concerns. Participate in regular web team/writing group meetings, and lead tutorials/workshops to enable the sharing of this information.

Candidates should have two (2) years of experience in a communications-related field and familiarity with blogging and social networking. Must be a well-organized team player who is able to produce large volumes of high quality web content while working congenially within a time-pressurized atmosphere; Possess ability to handle multiple deadlines and projects in different stages of production; Must have high levels of skill in the use of Internet tools such as search engines, online communities, social media, content and digital management systems, and WebTrends; Knowledgeable about web content as it relates to constituencies, mission personnel security, and copyrights/trademarks/branding; Familiarity with the mission of The United Methodist Church and the General Board of Global Ministries.
