Serving as a critical function in the life of Global Ministries’ world wide communications, The General Board of Global Ministries is now seeking a Web Team Manager for their office of Mission Communications. Global Ministries is the mission agency of The United Methodist Church. Its offices are housed in The Interchurch Center, at 475 Riverside Drive in New York City.
The ideal candidate would serve in the coordination of all forms of web presence, content, design and workflow. Working closely with the Director of Communications and other staff to ensure that all elements correspond to the current themes, priorities, visual standards and needs of the organization. This person would also take lead responsibility for and manage the Global Ministries websites and microsites, their contents, and the administration of the content management system. To ensure the highest level of quality and consistency in communicating the work of Global Ministries to a variety of audiences on the internet, incoroporating new media, technology and best practices.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in language, communication, media, computer science, or a related field. Graduate education in religion (preferable an M.Div.) plus some education in the technical aspects of computer science. As well as (2) to (3) years experience as an executive or manager in informational technology or a communications network. Having experience working with Microsoft Internet Information Server or a comparable server, Java Script, MS Front Page, and of inter-working concepts such as TCP/IP utilities and DNS Routing. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************
