A pastor showed up at our Annual Conference with bright blue hair. She just acted as though nothing were unusual about her appearance, but went about her business.
Before long everyone was asking, "Who is that lady with the blue hair?"
Turns out she was from a very small church in a rural area. She challenged her 30 people to try to raise the $375 for a Medicine Box®. By the last Sunday they were still $200 short. She offered to dye her hair blue if they could come up with the money. They took an offering that day and ended up with enough to buy three boxes! She was recognized by the bishop and made a really good point for small churches.
