USE the bulletin insert and poster in this guide to raise awareness about the Healthy Homes Healthy Families Kit (HFK) project.
BE SURE people know that they can contribute financially as well as by donating kit items. One idea is to ask ten people to contribute $10 each.
RAISE the money first! It is often easier to get donations of material resources rather than financial contributions. Be sure you will have the funds for each kit you plan to assemble before soliciting the kit items.
SEE if a youth group, Sunday school class, or women's group would like to raise the money as a mission project.
HOLD special fundraising activities (bake sale, silent auction, flower and plant sale).
ENCOURAGE contributions from the local business community.
CREATE an HFK giving calendar for church members. Determine a length of time for the calendar and use daily/weekly giving suggestions such as:
