I. Organization

1. Functions as a subcommittee of the Health and Welfare work area or as a standing committee of the Administrative Council.
2. Needs to have a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretary.
3. Meets regularly to support and direct the church's health ministries program.

II. Membership

1. Church members interested in wholistic health matters for the congregation and community.
2. Church members interested in children's and youth ministries, women's ministries, singles ministries, caring for the elderly, and outreach ministries.
3. The pastor and the chairperson of the Health and Welfare work area.

III. Responsibilities

1. Plan and assist with the installation of the health ministries program and its introduction to the congregation.
2. Participate in recruiting leaders.
3. Assist in needs assessment of the congregation and community.
4. Provide support and direction for the health program.
5. Assist the leaders in determining appropriate programs and activities to meet demonstrated needs.
6. Assist in presenting education programs.
7. Monitor the development and activities of the health ministries program.
8. Collaborate with and support the health ministries program by attending conferences for Health Committee members.
9. Evaluate the health ministries program annually and make necessary recommenations to the Health and Welfare Work area regarding changes, additions, and modifications to strengthen and enhance the program.
10. Report regularly to the Administrative Council regarding the health ministries program.
