Thousands of individuals and churches are expected to engage in mission through 10-Fold, a ten-day online gathering. Beginning on October 10, 2011, the event will offer opportunities to learn about powerful ministries of The United Methodist Church. Through photos, videos, activities, downloadable resources, and live web events, attendees can experience mission in new ways. Participants may log on daily to 10-Fold.org October 10-19 to explore each day's featured project. By clicking "Be Counted," 10-Fold sponsors will give $1 to the day's initiative.

Thomas Kemper, the top executive of the General Board of Global Ministries, appreciates the interactive nature of 10-Fold. "One of the joys of my work is to meet people around the world who are engaged in mission. Hearing their stories of transformation and knowing that God is working through The United Methodist Church is an amazing experience. The 10-Fold event gives participants the opportunity to meet some of these people and interact with them online."

10-Fold is a movement to raise awareness about projects of the General Board of Global Ministries around the world, supported through The Advance--the designated-giving arm of The United Methodist Church. It is a 10-day multimedia experience that spotlights ten powerful ways The United Methodist Church is making an impact worldwide--from planting churches to eliminating death and suffering from malaria. This month's connectNmission is a preview of some of the stories that will be featured in 10-Fold.
