Since its inception in 2008, Advancing Hope has fulfilled the goal of providing engaging stories of mission and helpful information on resources and opportunities that celebrate success and meet the challenges of people in need. Subscription to this monthly e-newsletter has climbed steadily, doubling within the past nine months.

As Global Ministries and The Advance continue to change with the times and hone their focus on mission, the method of sharing news also changes. Various Global Ministries programs have brought forth several regular email update services in recent years. Like Advancing Hope, these services provide helpful information. Some of the content as well as many of the subscribers of these services overlap.

To streamline work processes and to reduce the number of email updates mission supporters receive, Global Ministries is combining several subscription lists into one monthly e-newsletter, named connectNmission. The anticipated debut of connectNmission is November 2010. Current subscribers will automatically receive the new publication.

What Will Stay the Same

  • The focus of this newsletter is still MISSION!
  • Subscribers will still receive a newsletter once a month.
  • Stories about missionaries and mission projects will still be part of the newsletter.
  • The Advance will still contribute to highlight an Advocate of the Month.
  • The Advance very much respects your privacy! Your name and email address will not be shared or sold.
  • You will still be able to unsubscribe at any time.

What Will Change

  • The consolidated newsletter will be named connectNmission.
  • Featured resources will come from throughout Global Ministries instead of exclusively from The Advance.
  • The newsletter will share information from other Global Ministries program areas.
  • The newsletter format will have story excerpts with links to the full story.

Your support and interest are important and appreciated. Should you have any questions or comments about the upcoming changes, please contact David Webb at The Advance, or 212-870-3910.
