Pinetop, Az, Oct. 29, 2009--Prayers are requested for the continuing recovery of Missionary Muriel Henderson, who was hospitalized in Show Low, Arizona, for several days following emergency treatment for blood clots. She is now resting and recuperating in Pinetop. Mrs. Henderson and her husband, Terry, are assigned to the Methodist Church of Mexico, where they work at the Give Ye Them to Eat program in Puebla, near Monterey. While in Arizona, Mrs. Henderson experienced breathing problems and was admitted to the hospital. The prognosis is positive, according to a message received from Mr. Henderson. The Hendersons have served at Give Ye Them to Eat since 1972. The objective of the program is to collaborate with village families in their efforts to find more secure economic lives within their own culture, community, and country. Mrs. Henderson also organizes leadership training events in Christian Education in the Southeast Annual Conference of the Methodist Church of Mexico.
