family house. He's an amazing carpenter, turning
junk like old barn siding into beautiful
cabinets. He made a life-size Thomas the Tank
Engine for his grandkids, and even, laid all the
track and built a railroad crossing, complete
with flashing lights and ringing bells.

"This is a wonderful turn of events ... Since we
did not have the intern program for the better
part of a decade, and since we are reopening the
program quickly, I was concerned that young
adult United Methodists would not realize the
wonderful opportunity they are being offered for
a short term mission experience this summer.
However, the response is wonderful both from
youth and from excited Summer Intern placement
sites."

From around the globe, United Methodist
missionaries write letters about their work and
ministries. Some reflect on the people they serve
and the context of their ministries; others
celebrate the saints they meet, the ways they
themselves change and grow, or the common family
milestones that all families celebrate. Here is a
sampling of letters from a number of different
missionaries. Any church can enter a Covenant
Relationship with a missionary and receive
letters.
