of the day's events. Amidst a variety of scenes -
mostly peaceful demonstrations and Muslims at
Friday prayers - came a scene from near the US
Consulate in East Jerusalem...

The GBGM has committed $1 million to complete a
land mine removal project in Mozambique, among
other landmine removal efforts. The project will
return agricultural land, transportation routes
and the grounds of social institutions to full
productivity.

Working at Home to Improve the Conditions of Women, Children and Youth
October 10, 2000 - No one understands better the
conditions under which people live than those who
live there and experience the conditions daily.
As the denomination strives to be in mission with
people, today a pilot missionary program is being
initiated. Its goal is to tackle poor living
conditions and human rights issues facing women,
children and youth and to do it by people
familiar with those conditions.

Women’s Division focused their time on issues of

children and youth during the first board meeting
